Jamaica is poised to host the Caribbean’s Aquaculture Centre with the establishment of a new model 200-acre aquaculture park in Mitchell Town, Clarendon.
The announcement was made by Fisheries Minister, Hon. Floyd Green, during his 2025/26 Sectoral presentation in the House of Representatives on Tuesday (May 27).
“We are going to be training the rest of the region, right here in Jamaica, in aquaculture,” he outlined.
