Welcome to the Summer Internship

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining is proud to offer an enriching internship programme designed to provide secondary and tertiary-level students on summer break with hands-on experience in the fields of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Mining. Our programme aims to cultivate the next generation of professionals by offering real-world experience, professional development opportunities, and valuable industry insights.

Summer Internship

Eligibility:

To be considered for the Summer Internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Status
    • Currently enrolled in one of the following:
      • A recognized high school (Grade 10 or above), or
      • An accredited university or college (undergraduate level – full-time or part-time).
  2. Academic Performance
    • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or equivalent (where applicable).
    • Academic transcript or a letter of good standing may be requested.
  3. Availability
    • Must be available for the full internship period (typically 6–8 weeks during June–August).
    • Must be able to attend orientation and all mandatory programme sessions.
  4. Interest in Public Service or Related Fields
  5. Documentation
    • Must submit a completed application form
    • Any required supporting documents (e.g., reference letter).

HOW TO BECOME AN INTERN

The application process for the Internship Program has now been modernized for the convenience of all parties involved.   • Submit a completed application form
  • Provide a current resume or curriculum vitae (CV).
  • Include a cover letter outlining your interest in the programme and relevant academic and professional background.
  • Submit any required academic transcripts and letters of recommendation.
