The Green Paper on the National Livestock Policy is expected to be tabled in Parliament by the end of the second quarter of this financial year.

This was announced by Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green, during his 2026/2027 Sectoral Debate presentation in the House of Representatives on Wednesday (May 13).

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining is targeting 60 farm roads across the country’s major production zones for completion this year, under the Farm Road Rehabilitation Programme.

The Government, in partnership with the European Union (EU), officially handed over fencing and equipment to the Mason River Protected Area in Clarendon, valued at $60 million, on May 14, through the A Jamaican Path from Hills to Ocean (Hills2OceanJA) project.
