Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Dr. Christopher Tufton receiving a J$2.25 million (US $25,000) contribution from President and CEO of the Jamaica Broilers Group , Christopher Levy. Sharing the moment are Donovan Stanberry, Permanent Secretary for the Agriculture Ministry and Representative of the Inter-American Institute for Co-operation on Agriculture in Jamaica, Cynthia Currie. The contribution will go towards the staging of the Week of Agriculture and Rural Life of the Americas to be held in  Montego Bay between October 25 – 31, when Jamaica will host the  XV Meeting of the Inter-American Board of Agriculture (IABA) and the Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture for the Caribbean & the Americas.
