The 4-H Movement

Mission Statement

To mobilize, educate, and train young people between the ages of 9 – 25 years in agriculture, homemaking, leadership and social skills, which will prepare them for or influence them into careers in agriculture and agro-related occupations, and provide a cadre of trained young leaders, capable of contributing to national development.

Strategic Objectives
  • to become the number one youth organization in Jamaica;
  • to increase club membership from 35,000 to 100,000 over a three year period;
  • to enhance agro-processing capability at several centres;
  • to train young people in a variety of practical skills; and
  • pursuant of inter-agency corporation through fund raising, technical assistance and joint ventures.
